Pleasure and Hospitality – those are the main characteristics of South Tyrolean region. South Tyrol is a poplular all-year-around holiday destination, counting more than 7 million arrivals and more than 31 million overnight stays yearly. South Tyrolean tourists appreciate the special gastronomy, wonderful landscapes and hospitality and enjoy a simple break from a stressful daily life.

Hotel Exhibition plays an important role in this field: for more than 40 years the Exhibition is the meeting point & information exchange place for hoteliers and restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, innovative startups and associations. Hotel Exhibition covers the full spectrum of products, services, equipment and technologies for the hotel and food sector and offers an overview of the latest trends in this industry. It is a a must for all companies that want to present their products to the hotel and food market in South Tyrol and Trentino and therefore establish valuable contacts.

Scope of the project

South Tyrol & Tourism belong together: with more than 30 million overnight stays per year, 10 thousand accommodation services the Region is ranked 3rd in Italy by the number of overnight stays (only Venice and Rome have more). This symbiosis is so successful that the tourism sector is constantly striving to refine its facilities and services to meet the needs of the modern tourist and to offer authentic places and experiences, familiar with the local culture and greater personalization of the trip. The results of this effort are not only recorded in annual tourist turnover (over 3 billion Euro) but also though many awards on national and international guides.

South Tyrol's gastronomy is also highly celebrated: 23 Michelin stars for 18 chefs, with five restaurants holding two stars. The tourist surveys confirm the high satisfaction levels in the area of gastronomy, which is also confirmed by high number of regular tourist (85%).

FAQs

We are looking for startups in the B2B as well as B2C field in the three categories mentioned above. Important is that you already have a first prototype to demonstrate at the Hotel exhibition. You should also have first (pilot) customers.
In order to apply for the Startup Village Hotel 2017 please fill in the following application form HERE. After you submitted the application form we will contact you for a personal interview. The spots are limited. Deadline: August 4th 2017 (Rolling Admission).
Every startup will be charged a reduced fee for the booth of € 280 for 4 days. You need to be at your stand for 3 days. You can freely choose between Monday 16.10 and Thursday 19.10, but on Tuesday 17.10 and Wednesday 18.10 you need to be at your booth since the Pitches with Jury are taking place. Of course, you can also be at your booth for the whole exhibition time of 4 days and it will be a pleasure for us having you there.
The startup-package includes the stand (table and electricity), parking slot, free Wi-fi, entrance fee for the fair for up to 3 days. You can book a video screen at extra cost.
The event and the pitches will be held in English.
